They are also reversible, in that they can be installed upside-down, in case swapping the positions of the coil connections with the heat source flow & return connections proves to make piping them up easier.
Renewable energy sources require somewhere to store hot water, due to the lack of extreme power density of gas, resulting in water having to heat up slowly. However, the problem is that 22 million homes in the UK either don’t have a hot water storage cylinder or don’t have the space available to them. This results in homeowners struggling to decarbonise their heating.
As a solution, Newark Cylinders has launched the Heat Geek Mini Store. Designed by leading heating experts, Heat Geek, the Heat Geek Mini Store is a range of super-compact, highly efficient, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers.
The Heat Geek Mini Store is designed to be a compact hot water storage solution and is around a quarter to a third of the size of conventional hot water cylinders. With sizes ranging from 60L to 130L, the Mini Store offers installers and homeowners a highly viable backup option for decarbonising homes. Furthermore, the Mini Store can make gas boilers to be their most efficient.
